The Bull's Head is probably the oldest building in Pratt's Bottom, with the possible exception of The Grange
The road through the village was the turnpike during the 18th and early 19th centuries with The Bull's Head providing overnight accommodation for travellers from London to Rye and Hastings.
Note the stables and the old hoist for lifting travellers's luggage from coaches into the first floor window.
